....Adding anther from my Book of Poems & Prose......

..Page 6&7

                    State of Broke Down People.....

                  Girl appears Broken with Fear
                  and with Fright she Runs
                  from the Shadows of Death,
or a Boy that's maybe Dear.

Run the length of the Street,
                  Around the Corner to Stare
                  Look hard at your Destiny,
Only Hell are you to Meet.

A man, Still, with no Harm
                  but you're to Hate Him
                  and Run the other Way
to be Grabbed Fast on your Arm.

                  Shock taken in Despair
                  Captured only by Feeling
                  nothing has Held You.....
                  only Falsehood is There.

                  Scamper to Hide in Corners
to the Slums where alleys Prevail
                  Fall your Half lifted Body,
then be Swept up by no Mourners.

If you do Survive to Tell
and Seek out your own Truth,
                  You will turn to Hate.....
For your last Home is Hell.

...Page 8

                        Time for Living.....

Days are Hot, Long, and Stale....
The next might bring Rain or Hail.
Love, like this day differs as much...
You have to grab hold, just don't Touch!

Become aware of this as time goes on...
and you will live through life as easy as a Song.
Beware of faults in Love and Life
Pick the Truest for you Wife!

                  Behold, Death is yet Far....
So live your life the Fullest without Mar.
When the time for you to Pass,
And you believe in yourself, you will Last!

....Posts from my Book of Poems & Prose....this one from another writer...Yevtushenko..

I'm adding this one as part of some other writer's that I connected with back then.....1968 >'74....
His name is Yevtushenko, and the name of the Poem is......'Waiting'......

My love will come, will fling open her arms and fold me in them.
Will understand my Fears, Observe my change in from the Pouring Dark, from the Pitch Night without stopping to bang on the Taxi door.
She'll run upstairs, through the decaying porch, burning with Love  and Love's happiness, she'll run dripping upstairs, she won't knock, will take my head in her hands, and when she drops her overcoat on a chair....it will slide to floor in a Blue Heap.....

.....Another from that same Writer, it's titled Gentleness......

    This can't go on:
Is after all injustice of it's kind how in what year did this come into fashion..?
Deliberate indifference to the living, deliberate cultivation of the Dead, their shoulders slump and get Drunk sometimes, and one by one they quit; Orators at tt the Crematorium speak words of gentleness to History.
What was it took his life from Mayakovsky?!
What was it put the Gun between his fingers?!
If with that voice of his, with that appearance, if ever they had offered him in life some crumbs or gentleness.
Men live, men are trouble makers.
          Gentleness is a Posthumous Honour.....

               .....from pages 3&4.......

.....now on page 5...I will add one of mine...

                 Girl of the Damned

Be down girl of the Damned, don't rise to the wealth of it...
They will take you and your land...you need all, so take your little bit.

Hit, leave, be gone forever. Leave this Household Slum with bed.
It should be Burnt, but never... it will stay and just get lost instead.

....A Delight Last Night....

For those who don't take advantage of Public Television, I would like to share with you what I have found to be ever so interesting, Moving, & Memorable.
It mainly happens on a Saturday Night, when as you know not much on your normal National Stations. Although through the week you can catch many shows of varying interests. This particular time frame on Saturday include several shows.....the first one I got hooked on since it's set in the Islands somewhere in the Carribean.
It's called Death In Paradise. A 'who done it' set in a most beautiful setting, along with Music & Scenery to keep you focused, and of course a cast of characters that make it fun to watch in such a Dream like setting.
My dream of course is to visit such Island, and lucky that I have a friend that lives on one in the Virgin Islands...St Johns.

After that show they present you with an old Movie which I am so glad to have caught up on some of them. The one last night would have to be one of my favorites as far as old cars and car chases go....Bullitt....now that I was so happy to reflect back on with all the ...well now...old cars from 1968, and a chase scene with Steve McQueen driving that unforgettable Green Fastback Mustang, going up against that Black Dodge Charger!! Has to be the best chase scence up against only the one in 'French Connection'!
Not only did I see so many cars I loved...his girl friend, Jacqueline Bisset drove a bright yellow 59>60 Porche convertible!
I also found out that they filmed around a Weekend which Steve's character had to find the Villian by Sunday night. Well I just couldn't believe it when the show a Marquise out side a Resturant saying it was Mother's Day, May 11th.....that with the fact that it was one of my favorite Movie's, just made it to the top......

Someday I would like to DoNATE to this PBS station coming from FSU...Florida State University...which I read that they might sell, but not to worry about this staion. I sure hope so, it would be a shame to not be able to watch, not just the Movies but other worthwhile shows like the Nature show and all the Music shows....

a drop of Rain did fall....

                              Many continued without delay...
and formed a Stream that covers the Earth below.

The Stream did swell O'er rocky Glenn...
Rushing Current to enter every River Bend.

..... now for Poem # Two.....

Say 'Hi' to Him, don't Grieve or 'Not'

For he Has Brought You....I thought,

                    ....A Lolly Pop.....!

              Poem # Three.....

                    She Saw Me Fix....

                    If Not She Did....

                    But I Saw Her...

                    and ..of Course...I Did

             Poem # Four....

                    The Time Moved Slow.....

                    With Hands to Still Whirl......

                    It Brings Upon the Face...

                    A Sad But True Place....

....A 'Poem' from the past.....

This is something I wrote in the past from a collection of writings I did back in the late Sixties & early Seventies....the first one is a unusual presentation that can be interpreted in a few ways, but still coming out as the same topic...well it's hard to decribe so here it is and you can see for yourself.....
            .....the title is ..'Going Up?'....

                              ZIG ZAG
                                               AND A PAPER
                    I WAS THERE
                                               WHEN A FRIEND
         AND I SAT AWHILE
                                               WIND AND RAIN
    BLOWING THE GRASS
                                               BY PASSING THE FIRE
GREENS WERE SMOKED
                                               LEAVING OUR THOUGHTS BEHIND
GETTING LOST IN A HIGH
                                               LAUGHTER AND SOUND
BEING FOUND IN A BAG
                                               FOLLOWED A RYHME
           WE BOTH TOATED
                                               NOT MUCH MORE
           A NICKLE OR TWO.

.....Now take a piece of paper and cover the Right side of the Poem.

I hope you enjoy this little 'Side Trip', and I have more to share, but no others like this....and I'm sure I could never duplicate it at this point in my life, althought I hope to continue writing more for all to enjoy......

So Wayne..'Crash'...Carlson and Roy..'Boy' ..Cheney started this five years ago, w help from Uncle Lewis & Lad Green.
The following year I was able to make it up from my new home in Florida and joined in to remember so many that have traveled beyond to their other World. They will be tributes to many at the beginning, so I encourage all to get there before Noon, when the Ceremonies will begin sharp at Noon...!!

I Added the 40th Anniversary, when I realized that it's been that long and many of you were there too. So I thought it fitting that this should be added, since we all are on borrowed time. I only wish that more  were  here for the Celebration, like my co-Host Tom Barry.....

......CHANGING THINGS UP....

. It's been said a few times that Texas was going to Secede from our homeland of America. Reasons aren't all that clear at this point...but hey they say everything they do in Texas they do BIG....now even the Secretary of Defense, Ash Carter has denied that the United States is going to take over Texas as a precaution so that Texas doesn't become an aggressor to the remaining States.
There are many that think it might not be such a bad idea so that there won't be a threat of more Texas Politicians running for office here in the Real World......

Now just to mention a few facts of exercising. We all would like to stay fit, myself I'm having a hard time doing so in my condition.....but that's me. I don't have the means to spend money on such, as some put it 'Luxury'. I've know people who have actually Died from doing what they thought was good for them. One was a 'healthy' man in the prime of life, jogging everyday. He died of a Heart attack. Now I have read that a Silicone Valley of Survey Monkey, CEO David Goldberg, 47 died of severe head trauma, while exercising on vacation with his family in Mexico. He tripped on treadmill and hit his head on the machine.
Then there is the CEO of Segway that drove himself off a cliff on his property. You would have thought that he knew every inch of his own property...?!

I would like to say that I'm not trying to make lite of someone's death since I have witnessed too many in my life, and will be celebrating the lives of so many in August. But I guess I just thought maybe it a good idea to just take it easy...life is too short to be pushing the boundaries, like say Texas....

....finishing the final chapter of out West with John Henry & Jack long...

This will be the final Chapter in the life & times of John Henry and Jack long  of their adventures in the Wild West.

After the devastating blow to him after coming back from hunting with Lilly, to find his family slaughtered at the hands of some renegade Comaches, it made John Henry that much more strong willed and defiant of any thing that may get in his way.
He and lilly traveled for awhile together until it was evident that he had to go on his own so that she would not be harmed. He soon joined the Rough Riders as one of their youngest, albeit toughest, one to join.
Then he moved on to be on his own, as he knew that was the only path for him, when so much was tormenting him. Going from one Town to the other, taking jobs where he could find them. One almost got him killed when he got tied up with a Gang lead by a young man, they called hm the 'Kid'...Billy the Kid...

About this time Jack Long was riding the trails from East to West as a cow-hand and trail boss in charge of hundreds of cattle going to market in the Mid-West...
Jack was well-seasoned with the Cattle and wild Horse drives, and was recommended through out the West.
Then one night he got into a fight with a local at one of the towns they had a stop over in, and, well it didn't go so well for the local...not knowing who he was up against, he got in a fight that brought them into the street for a show down. Jack was the fastest, and dropped that poor guy like a sack of potatoes. Even though it was a fair fight, Jack was asked to leave the Cattle Drive, since they need to keep up good relations with  all the towns they passed through.

Jack, left up to his own means, began running wild Horses from Colorado to Texas and back. Also trips up North as far as Canada.

That's when he meets up with John Henry and starts a long strained and tumultuous relationship that leaves us with them heading to California with another powder keg of a human...Grover...

We shall pick up later and find out how far this strange trio will make it in their Quest to find fortune, since they already have the Fame.....

Hope you all enjoyed our trip out West and will try to continue the Tale as soon as possible...thanks....

Back on the Trail with young John Henry and the Desert Plains......

John Henry, along with his family...Mother, Father and now Lilly, have joined another family back at the River crossing. This family consisted of the Father, Mother, and a son. They have already journeyed three days into the dry Plains, with only enough supplies left for another day or so, and they had two more days to get to the base of the Rockies.
They pushed on, struggling to move from lack of more nutritional  foods. Already their supply had dwindled to the basics, with only enough to get through another day.
Stopping to make camp, it was up to John Henry to go out and try and find fresh meat so that they could get the strength back to continue, and get through this Hellish Journey.
Henry decided to take Lilly along for help, and just so that he had some company, not knowing how long they would be gone.

Henry and Lilly became close friends on their journey, after Henry had to rescue her from those Mountain that had took over the camp she had with her Husband, that they killed and were going to take her as a slave to their needs.
Lilly had grown much stronger from all she was through, there fore being someone Henry could count on in times of need. They had walked off and wondered far from the encampment  where both families were making the best out of a bad situation.
Finally there, in a cluster of bush's stood a fine looking Buck. Henry got down low, motioning Lilly to do the same, kneeling down he trained his rifle on the Bucks head, he fired, the Buck jolted up, then ran out of the thicket. Henry puzzled by the deers reaction, since Henry being an excellent shot, and was sure he had hit it, went up to the spot where the Buck had been. Sure enough there was blood and a trail of it left behind, that was truly a good hit.
They took off following the blood trail, along w some tracks that were left at points where they could be in this dry Earth. They walked for some time all the while thinking that they would soon stumble over the Buck.
It was getting late, and running out of day light, when all of a sudden the Buck reared up right in front of them, Henry, out of instinct pulled his rifle up and shot.......

Henry and Lilly soon had to make camp, tired and hunger after carrying but mostly dragging the Buck only a short distance from where he had shot it. After 'Dressing' out the Deer, with Lilly making the best out of a bad situation, soon had a camp-site ready. Not long after nightfall they had both fallen deep into a good nights sleep.
The next they were fresh to start that long journey back to their folks, who they had imagined would not see them again.
As it turned out it was Henry and Lilly who would not be able to see them or tell them one more time how they loved them. As they approached the area in which they thought the camp was, they saw smoke lightly drifting in the sky overhead. Now Henry was a little worried, so he told Lilly to stay back. Henry took caution in getting closer to see what was going on.
It was his worst nightmare of how a tribe of Indians would come in and destroy a family. He first stood in shock when he first saw his father  beaten down and scalped, tied to a wagon wheel, just as was Mr. McGlocklen. The two women were out of sight until Henry could regain his thoughts. Both of them tortured and left naked after being raped. Henry dropped to his knees and wept. Wept for the first time ever that he could remember. He was still kneeling when Lilly came up behind him, got down next to him and started to Pray. That too had been a long time for him to do. Both kneeling in Pray, then looking up to see the base of the Rockies in the distant too far away, but just close enough to keep their dreams alive.
The boy was missing, with no hope of finding him alive or even finding him at all. The Comanches sometimes take the young boy, if there's no girl around, for them to make one of theirs. The boy will stay alive as long as he doesn't cause them problems.

This now ends the story of how Henry came to be a rough and mean spirited Cowboy with just his wits to rely on. He went on to create a reputation in the West, far above and beyond all that you may have heard before......

....Lost....

.....I am lost in the wake of emotions.....
....they lie still in the pit of my Heart....

....I wish to retrieve them from all that's against me....
....hoping that they may come soon....

....so that Truth and Love may stand the test of Time..
....and to the Beauty for which it stands....

....Then once again it shall Flourish........
               ....above and beyond all Expectations.....

                             .....LOVE AND PEACE-OUT..........

.....it Takes a Spark......

......Been looking out there for so long.
It just doesn't seem fair, that I have to
continue without, the sweet smell of the
Spring Flower's....or the sound that carries
in the Wind, from the air.
I think that I have been cheated,
in some way, so that I may never get back
what I've been looking for so long.
Only time will tell at this moment,
what has been brought to me from the past.
A past so jumbled that only a Jester could see
that for this moment on only then I could be,
the person that I was sent here from another
                            time, another place another World....
How then does one take what was given
him, then look the other way....to stumble
to step aside, to catch himself, and Pray.
Can they be answered in the most
profound of ways, even simple, direct and
within the days that were given him to be the
person that he wanted to be for so long.
...........it would take only that one Spark,
                            to light the way.......

.....Once more looking back at John Henry, as he & his family make their journey West....

When John Henry and his family started their trip West, it was plagued with many misfortunes. First encountering those Mountain men that killed Lilly's husband, and Henry taking care of them, so that Lilly could live and move on with her life...now with Henry and his mother and father. They managed to cross the mighty rivers that separated the East from the West, and now faced their most difficult challenge.....crossing the wide open Desert Plains....

Getting to the Plains, where they met up with a wagon train heading West. The lead wagon comprised of husband and wife with two young children, a boy about eight and a girl about the same age as Lilly. The rest of the wagon train consisted of three more families. All having a wife and husband, and a mix of children ranging from a year old to Henry's age, which was about seventeen at the time.
Henry's parent's became close to the lead family quickly, since they had more in common than with the rest. The lead family was more acquainted with this way making it out this far once before, as did Henry's father when he made past trips exploring the best route West.
Soon they were on the move, slowly so that everyone got into a certain pace which was need to control all the wagons, as they moved closer to the plains, they wanted to make sure everyone was close and stuck to the Trail.

Henry's family and the McKlintock's, those being the lead wagon of the Train, moved steady into the vast unknown of the Desert Plains, and soon it was clear who the stronger wagon families were. It was into the second day that they realized that they would have to separate themselves from the other three families, and move ahead of them knowing that they were not going to keep up the pace, that was needed to get through this wasteland with the supplies that they had with them.
The other families understood and said they would either turn back or with any luck a bigger wagon train would come through, that had more supplies to help them get by.

Now in unknown territories, where the dust blew hard during the day, and the cold set in at night, the two families forged ahead into a land that held many mysteries from other frontiersmen who had made it through and were able to talk about it. The one most worrisome was the stories of Indians that had no mercy on the 'White Man' that tries to take their land.
There were gruesome tales of how the Indians would attack at night and drag the members of the Train back to their tribe and dismember the men, Rape and torture  the women, then take the young girls for Squaws, and raise them in the tribe.
Soon the two families came across evidence of this along the way, making it harder to focus and keep the pace which they needed to do with only three more days of rations, and five more days they thought that they needed to get to safety on the plush and safe side of the Plains........

Under the Petrie Dish with myself, lizards, and a girl named Marley.....

First of all I would like to disavow any connection with other named 'Lizards'. The first being the Lizard Squad, which has been connected to the computer Hacks of Play Station and Sony. I can do this in full confident since I'm no Hacker, even if some of you think what I write is a 'Hack-job'. Also I don't have the skills to perform such mind sets, with the little knowledge that I do have with this 'machine'..... also may pertain to my blog.
The other is Lizard Juice, which is the contents to which you fill your 'E-cigarette' . I may indulge in some 'Juice' of sorts, but would not have my name associated to that particular brand!
So there you have it, a few things I needed to get straight for the new year......now as far as the other things that concern me....

It's been over 20 years since I was involved in a particular move that I was asked to help with. I was asked if I could get my younger daughter Cher Love out to Everett Washington, near Seattle, so that my other daughter could set her up with some living conditions, and that she may have the medical benefits that they offer to their residents. Tiffany, my oldest was there already, when she found out that Cher was pregnant. I was to be a Grandfather for the first time!

In order to get a flight out, I had to ask a dear friend of mind if she could help out. Without a second thought, she handed me her credit card and told me to do what ever I had to, and to get my daughter on the Plane to a destination new to all of us, and now only a distant memory to one of my most memorable times in my life, thanks solely on a most generous and loving person as my...our...friend Ty.

It wasn't until 10 or 11 years later that I got to meet the most wonderful of young girls, that I hadn't had a chance to do since the trip to Seattle. We hit it off right away, seamlessly going from one conversation to another, just as though we had been friends forever, and that she was much older in mind, than the Eleven years that she was on this Earth.

Now in three days Marley Love will turn Twenty, and I made a terrible mistake a while back by trying to explain something only an old beat up Hippie would think it to be helpful in the coming years....I don't have that easy talking way with her now and have many regrets in the way I handled it. I can only hope with this new year upon us, that she will see my faults of being what I thought I was suppose to be..... Happy Birthday Marley....

Now getting back to my past year. I spent more time in the Hospital than any other time that I could have imagined. First it was those dag-nabbed Blood Clots in my lungs. Then in between that and my next stay, was of course the Damn Sciatica, which can really slow ya down, especially in the heat this Summer. So  then came another strange bout with a visit to the Hospital once again.
I went to the Emergency room with a pain in my Ass...no I'm not talking about Karl. This was to be  'best for last' kinda situation, where if I hadn't been 'dragged' to the Hospital, something more drastic would have occurred.
Well a visit to my Doctor after I got out, had told me I 'Dodged' anther 'Bullet'....meaning the first one was the Clots. O.K good news bad news...good news I('m still here to tell about it..the bad, well I hope the bad is behind me...pardon the Pun...and that if the bad news is that things run in threes, than the third one happens back in the '60's..or the '70's...or the '80's, and possibly the '90's..! So I think I'm covered, I'm just glad I can be around for my Grandaughter's Birthday, and then of course everyone else that I love seeing here and in August.

So I say to my Doctor.." what am I some specimen on a huge dish, for who knows what or 'who' is looking at me..?!"

I guess time will tell and if I have anything to say about it you'll get it here on my blog, the one with the true Lizards Tale....
